AVAILABLE ROLES

Band Director Assistant 
On performance nights, look after students before going on stage.
May assist with tuning instruments.
Chaperones
 Assist the band director on school trips. 
Fundraising
Develop and execute creative fundraising opportunities for students and the General Fund.
Works with Treasurer to determine and seek out Sponsorship opportunities.
Assists with Spirit Wear/Concession Sales during concerts/performance events.
Finance/Treasurer Assistance
Review and verify FairShare/Income forms and/or other financial statements on a monthly basis.
Reconcile cash box monies before and after Spirit Wear/Concession Sales events.
At the end of the fiscal year, review and spot audit Treasurer Records.
Tier 1 volunteering recommended.

Uniforms
Assists Uniform Committee Lead with measuring students for polos and tuxedo shirts.
At concert/performance events, distribute vests and bow ties to Symphonic and Jazz Catz students;
collect vests and bow ties following concert/performance events.
Assists Uniform Committee Lead with uniform inventory and cleaning of pieces as needed.

Spirit Wear and/or Concession Sales
Sell Spirit T-Shirts, Hoodies, or other Cougar Band merchandise and/or concessions at concert/performance events. 
Decoration
Prepare performance venues, 1 to 2 days in advance of a band concert.
Assist with take down and clean up. 
Digital Media
Manage and/or update Band Website and/or social media sites with current photos, videos.
Post fundraising, concert, and/or other event announcements.
Coordinate with Band Director and maintain media release authorizations;
work with photographers/videographers to edit photos/videos as appropriate prior to posting.
Photographer/Videographer
Electronic recording at all concerts and other performance events.
Edit photos/videos as appropriate prior to releasing for band website, Face Book, or other social media postings.
Coordinate with Social Media volunteers and share electronic recordings.
Graphic Designer
Creative designs for Spirit T-shirts, concert/event flyers.
Assist with website layout, artwork, photos, and text that appeals to a variety of audiences.
Design banner or posterboard type presentation of Corporate Sponsors for display at concerts and other events.
​Recognition
The end of year Recognition Night requires coordination with the Band Director to collect and prepare awards for students. 
All students get recognition, ranging from certificates to awards.
The event may include celebratory treats for students.
